Located in Oswego, New York, on the shores of Lake Ontario, the Oswego Works was first commissioned in 1963. The plant is situated on 500 acres, with 1.4 million square feet under roof, and has approximately 700 employees.

Producing more than a billion pounds of high quality aluminum sheet each year, Oswego Works represents Novelis' first U.S. operation and stands today as the company's largest wholly owned fabrication facility in North America. Equipped for aluminum scrap remelting, ingot casting, and hot and cold rolling, Oswego Works generates premium aluminum products used primarily by the beverage can, building and construction, automotive markets, and industrial product application.

Oswego Works continuously strives to improve its manufacturing and quality processes. In recognition of these efforts, the facility has been awarded the coveted QS-9000, ISO-14001and Ford Q-1 certifications – standards of excellence sanctioned by the automotive industry.
